My name is Justin Williams. I’m currently living in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, on leave from my job with the Department for International Development and looking after our 4 children for a while. In my spare time I read books and post reviews on this site. All views are of course my own.

The blog is about recently published books that have something to say about international development. I hope to cover some big development books but also branch out a bit, for example into literature and history. I’d like to use the blog to gather a wide range of different perspectives on development – from those who are inside development agencies and outside, from different countries, genres and disciplines.
